JCBC Launches New Website

I am excited to announce that a new version of the www.jcbc.org is now live!

I know what you are thinking.
Didn’t we just launch a new website two or three years ago?

Yes, we did.
But three years can be an eternity in this digital era.
So, in an effort to remain fresh and functional in this ever-changing time, we have updated many aspects of our Website.

As you browse, here are just a few features to look for…

  • Our Primary Target Audience

Our primary target audience for the site remains those who have never been to Johns Creek Baptist. Most people who come to JCBC as guests, make their first visit digitally. For that reason, much of our website is designed to meet their needs and address their primary curiosities.

  • New Video Header and Parallax View

The first change you will notice will be the beautiful video footage placed as a header at the top of the page. This footage was captured and edited by our fantastic video team, and is designed to give the first time visitor a glimpse of joy found in our shared life at JCBC.

Another design change featured in the new site is parallax scrolling, which involves the background moving at a slower rate to the foreground, creating a 3D effect as you scroll down the page.

  • Mega Menus

One new feature you will notice is called mega menus. As you hover over the tabs at the top of the page (Get Connected, Get Formed, Get Mobilized, Worship, Events), you will notice a large window pop up, displaying all of the related ministries for that tab at a glance. From there you can easily select where to go.

While there, take time to check out all of our various ministry areas, which have been updated with new content, design and video.

  • Upcoming Events

On the new site, upcoming events are featured more prominently. In addition to an “events” tab at the top of the page (where you can view upcoming events or the JCBC ministry calendar), you will also notice an events section on the front page as you scroll. There, you can choose to view only the current events, or select “see all events,” and you will be taken to a listing of all future events with full descriptions.

  • Give Online

On the new site, the “give online” option is simplified and featured as a blue tab on the home page. One click will give you the option to make a one-time donation or set up a recurring gift. Check it out. And while there, join others who have switched to online giving.

There are many more features worth exploring.
But the best way to discover them is to browse them for yourselves at www.jcbc.org.

I am especially grateful to our Communications Director, Stephanie Wright and our Website Coordinator, Mark Love for an excellent job in designing a website we are proud to share with the world.

To God Be the Glory!
