The vision of “Summer Surge” is simple:
Total engagement in the full life of our church—all summer long.

In a season when churches can often experience a decline in attendance, in giving, and in engagement, we’re calling on JCBC to surge!

As the writer of Hebrews reminds us, “…we are not among those who shrink back” in our faith. (Hebrews 10:39)

That is why this Summer there are exciting opportunities to surge within all four energies of the church: Connections, Formations, Mobilization, and Worship.

Click on the events below, to explore just a few! Or, for an expanded list of events, including sports camps, youth and JCBC Kids camps, and our Summer Showcase for Students, click here.

We hope you will make plans to prioritize these important moments in the life of our church.
And as always, remember: if you are not in town, be sure to stream our services at jcbc.org and stay connected by following us on Facebook and Instagram.

A Sermon Series on the Book of Ecclesiastes
Beginning Sunday, May 29th

Ever wonder what it’s all worth?
We’re born with an innate desire for meaning.
We hunger and thirst for it, and seek it out, wherever it may be found.
We pursue meaning in our work, our play, our friendships, our family.
Yet, sometimes, no matter what we do, or how hard we try, it can feel like meaning escapes us.

“Meaningless! Meaningless! Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”
Ecclesiastes 1:2

Our lives are like a mist that appears for a little while, and then vanishes.
In our desperation for meaning, it can feel like grasping smoke, or chasing wind.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under Heaven.
This is the season, and now is the time to discover meaning in the only way it can be found.
