SURGE: Youth Worship
Definition of SURGE: “a sudden powerful forward or upward movement, especially by a crowd or by a natural force such as the waves or tide; a powerful rush of an emotion or feeling.”
Here at JCBC Surge is what we call our Youth Worship experience for teens. Here is a bit of what you will experience at Surge: First grab some food cooked by our new chef Juan. Supper lines will be open from 5:00-6:30 ($7 for adults, $4 for children and $25 max). After some good food head down to the student area, the game rooms open at 5:30! Hang out with your friends, play some video games or ping pong and make yourself at home!
It won’t be long until the music cranks up. Worship starts at 6:30. We will rock out to the latest worship songs led by the Surge Band. Plus you can expect some cool videos and fun games that will set up the message for the night. Then we will open the Bible together and dive into some passages to see what God has to say about some topics that directly effect the lives of teenagers. Messages are delivered by the student minister Chris Moore.
SURGE is a part of a bigger overhaul for every age group on Wednesday nights called MidStream. There will be Wednesday night supper, children’s choir, adult choir and all new study options for all ages at JCBC. So get ready to take the plunge, and be a part of the SURGE!
