Elementary School Ministry: K – 5th Grade

The Grade School Ministry of Johns Creek Baptist Church exists to help children develop spiritually, mentally, emotionally and socially into all that God wants them to become. The church joins the parents to provide foundational Bible learning upon which a commitment to Christ can be made.

We fulfill this ministry by building relationships with the children and their families and offering sound biblical teaching in every aspect of our programming. Sunday School, Kid Quake and Wednesday Night Activities are offered on a weekly basis. Camps, Retreats, Vacation Bible School, special events and classes round out the many fun and interactive opportunities we offer your child.

SUNDAYS AT JCBC…

We provide a two hour experience for our elementary aged kids. We want kids to always know that they have a place and we want to put them around awesome adults who want to know them. We want kids to grow in an authentic faith, so we provide two great hours for that to happen on Sunday mornings.

Sundays at 9:45am

Sunday School is a place where children will gather in a small group environment, here Bible stories, do activities, play games, pray, and much more, with children their own age.

Sundays at 11:00am

Thrive is our engaging Large Group approach to worship and Bible teaching for kids. You will be welcomed in to a fun environment where we will use games, video, live teaching, worship, and small groups to help bring God’s word to life.

*Thrive does not mean in June or July but will resume August 6th!

Bible Presentation for Kindergartners

Going into kindergarten can be a scary, anxious, nervous, and exciting time for not only the parents, but also for the child. It is such a milestone for so many. They will learn so many things and begin to master skills that they will never forget. One of those skills is reading. So we want to capitalize on this, by having our kindergartners receive a Bible. What better book to learn to read from than God’s word. And what better book for parents to help their children learn to read in, than God’s word.

This presentation takes place during the month of August. If you have a kindergartener be on the lookout for more information on this great event!

Start Here

We want to be present for the significant moments in our child’s life. Their first steps. The first day of school. The first ballgame. But what about when they start having their first questions about faith. Start Here will help you begin a conversation with your child about what it means to follow Jesus.
Start Here is for parents and their children to sit together, to learn, and then have a starting point to go back home and begin a conversation. All you have to do is Start Here.

For information on when the next Start Here class is and to sign up, please contact Angela Kittle, at akittle@jcbc.org.
