Unified Budget Pledge
For ages, we have assumed that the mission of the church was somehow “out there.” We are, after all, a “great commission” people. We are called to be our Lord’s witnesses “…in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and even to the uttermost parts of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Strikingly, however, the most compelling part of this commission is that it begins in Jerusalem. In other words…at HOME. One thing the past 21 months has clearly revealed to the worldwide church of Christ is the need for a renewed mission…to rebuild the church at home. That is our calling right here and right now at JCBC; to rebuild this church on Christ, the sure and certain foundation. (1 Corinthians 3:10-11)
By God’s grace, it has already begun! There is a spirit of renewal swelling within our church! Attendance is clearly on the rise. Online engagements with our virtual congregation are at never-before-seen levels. New families are appearing on campus, and are making deliberate choices to fully engage the vibrant life of this congregation. Our ministries are growing, our pastoral staff is expanding, and now with the launch of our first ever Mobilization Ministry, JCBC is poised to rise to the unprecedented challenges facing the post-pandemic church.
On Wednesday, November 17, 2021 our church passed a bold Unified Ministry Budget for 2022 that we believe will empower us to rebuild the church right here in our own “Jerusalem” for such a time as this. A fully-funded ministry budget will allow us to provide life-changing ministries, support our missional partners, and expand our reach with the healing message of God’s love in a hurting world.
Will you help us?
In order to rebuild the church and live faithfully into God’s call for this next era of ministry and mission, it requires all of us doing our part. That’s why I am asking you to join me and my family in pledging your financial support to the 2022 Unified Ministry Budget.
Doing so takes 3 simple steps: PRAY…PLAN…PLEDGE.
1. Pray. Ask what God would have you and/or your family pledge in the coming year.
2. Plan. Take time to consider your current giving habits, and deliberately plan to grow!
3. Pledge. Finally, complete and submit the enclosed pledge card.
You can submit your pledge by returning the enclosed card or online through the form below.
We are in uncharted territory, with unprecedented opportunity.
The next chapter in our church’s history is being written, even as we speak.
Will you be a part of the story?
Thank you for your commitment to Christ, and for doing your part to rebuild His church!
Have I told you lately how much I love being your pastor?
Well, I do.
