Faith2Next Update!

By now, I trust you are beginning to pick up on the exciting buzz surrounding Faith2Next–our bold, two-fold initiative to develop our first multi-venue worship experience, and to become a completely debt-free congregation by the end of 2020.

Last Sunday, we began a series of informational meetings, designed to communicate the nature of our campaign and the extraordinary opportunities God has placed before us. Upcoming information sessions are scheduled for:

  • Wednesday, January 25th @ 6:00 pm (Room 222/B235-Follow signs outside Gym)
  • Sunday, January 29th @ 9:00 am (Heritage Room)
  • Sunday, January 29th @ 9:45 am (Heritage Room)
  • Wednesday, February 1st @ 6:00 pm (Room 222/B235-Follow signs outside Gym)

If you are a member who is not enrolled in Sunday School; or if you are enrolled, but have a conflict at your scheduled time; or if you have other volunteer duties during these scheduled times, we want to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to be informed.

That is why this Sunday, January 29th, immediately following worship, we will present the program in the Heritage Room for all who wish to see attend.
The presentation will take only 20 minutes, with an optional Q&A time to follow.
(Note: Attendees are welcome to depart after the 20-minute presentation.)

In addition to these informational meetings, there are two other kinds of gatherings crucial to our Faith2Next Campaign: Leadership Dinners and Special Events.

  • Leadership Dinners are planned for the Capital Campaign Team, Deacons, Officers, Committees, and Financial leaders. Participants will be asked to prayerfully discern their role in leading the way, and setting the pace for the congregation-at-large. Four events will take place in February. ANY AND ALL church members are welcome to attend these events and consider making their commitments for the campaign’s success. If you re not included in one of the above groups, you can reserve your spot by contacting Rhonda Byrd by email at rbyrd@jcbc.org.
  • Special (Church-wide) Events are planned for March 9th and March 12th. Everyone in the church is invited to attend. We will start with a complementary meal prepared by Executive Chef/Food Services Director, Chris Harwell. We have invited a well-known and soon-to-be-announced musical performer, and will view an inspirational video produced just for the event. You will be seeing more details about the Special Events in the next few weeks. Mark your calendars for one of the two of the evenings. During these events, a first-class event is also planned for our preschool and elementary age children.

Our top priority in this phase of Faith2Next is to ensure that every member is informed and fully understands the significance of this campaign in the life and future of our church.

Stay tuned next week for an exciting update on innovative ways to stay in the know!
