Prayer Request from Shaun King: Please join me in praying for Bo Haywood. Bo was admitted to Emory Johns Creek Hospital Wednesday night, do to a sudden drop in blood pressure. He continues to be treated in the ICU, as his blood pressure has not yet elevated to an acceptable level, and an infection has now been detected which is also being treated. Please also remember his wife, Diane, who is by his side though through these difficult days.

Prayer Request from Linda Clagg: Reggie Pugh has been moved back to Dunwoody Health and Rehab Ctr. The goal is to help him regain strength to go home and care for himself. He will be placed back on the list for a kidney. The kidney he received has been officially declared dead and may even need to be removed at some point. Prayer Request from Johns Creek Baptist Church: Reverend Howard Elson Pittard, beloved pastor, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and WW II veteran, Howard Elson Pittard, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2018 at the age of 94.
After serving in the US Army and fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, he devoted his life to the ministry. Like many of the WW II veterans, he was eager to get on with life. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in three years from Furman University and his Master of Theology from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. He served as Minister for several churches in the Atlanta metro area including Redan Baptist Church, Philadelphia Baptist Church and Chapel Heights Baptist Church.
Reverend Pittard is survived by his children Daniel Pittard (Connie), Robert Pittard, Anita Bellue (Ed); grandchildren Marissa Pittard, Chris Pittard, Micah Pittard, Jonathan Pittard, Dannah Burgess (Sam), Kendal Hester, Justin Hester (Lauren), Kaitlyn Hester, Josh Hester, Kaden Hester; great grandchildren Kylie Hester, Carter Chadwell, Hudson Hester, Henry Hester and Clark Burgess.
A “Celebration of His Life” will be held in the Chapel at Johns Creek Baptist Church, 6910 McGinnis Ferry Road, on October 6, 2018 at 11:00 am. Following the service a reception will be held in the Heritage room at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Johns Creek Baptist Church (JCBC.org) or Meals by Grace (mealsbygrace.org) in memory of Howard Pittard.
