Too Big To Ignore
JCBC will be hosting a special event, Too Big to Ignore: Communities of Faith Uniting to Tackle Addiction in Johns Creek, on Sunday, June 11th from 2:00-5:30pm at Johns Creek Baptist Church.
The afternoon will include a showing of Crisis of Substance, a new documentary from director Laura Asherman, which was created in partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting to bring awareness to the effects of the opioid epidemic on the lives of individuals and families. In addition, we plan to have a panel discussion on the opioid epidemic featuring Johns Creek public servants and a panel discussion on providing care to individuals and families featuring counselors and healthcare professionals. There will also be organizations invited to provide resources.
This event is co-sponsored by the Johns Creek Interfaith Alliance and The Clinton Foundation Overdose Response Network.
