Sometimes, it is hard to discover what our gifts and passions are or how God is already at work in our lives. It can be difficult to discern where God is calling us.

Like the poem by Mary Oliver, we hear the question, “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

That is why at JCBC, we offer the Mobilization Studio. A studio is a place to engage in creative and imaginative work! We invite you to join us in thinking deeply and creatively imagining where God is calling each of us to find meaning and purpose in life, and then, how to mobilize that purpose in service.

Perhaps it’s time to intentionally imagine…
To deliberately discern…
To creatively engage…
Where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.

JCBC is hosting Dr. Nathan Cost, Director of the Center for Calling and Vocational Formation at Mercer University. The title of the Studio is My Story as a Part of God’s Story, and we will be talking about how our own personal narrative shapes our calling. We will have a continental breakfast at 9am and then Nathan will lead our conversation and activities the rest of the morning. This event will require a registration minimum of 12 people.

Postponed – New date coming soon!

Throughout the year, our Mobilization ministry offers unique opportunities to explore ways to discern God’s call in our lives and then how to mobilize that call in mission and ministry in our community and around the world. The following videos are from some of those events. Stay tuned for communication about upcoming events or contact our Mobilization pastor, Terri Byrd, tbyrd@jcbc.org, for more information.
