Members of the Johns Creek Baptist Church Family,
Having received your Deacon Nominations, we now are ready to come together as a congregation to elect 15 Deacons to serve JCBC for a three-year term beginning in January 2023 and ending December 2025. One of our guiding principles at JCBC is to ask the congregation to pray and deliberate individually, and then nominate candidates for Deacons that the Holy Spirit has placed on their heart. We’ve been in that “nomination period” for the last month, and now we have a group of 38 nominees from which to elect 15 to serve a 3-year term.
Names included on the ballot are those church members who have been nominated by church membership and are eligible according to JCBC’s bylaws. We contacted all eligible nominees and asked if they would serve if elected. Some indicated that they were unable to serve at this time and have asked that their name not be included on the ballot.
The Deacon nominees have provided a photo and some information about themselves and their service to JCBC, which we hope will provide you the ability to get to know those on the ballot better than otherwise possible.
Our on-line Deacon ballot, along with information about each of the candidates is available by clicking the button below.
Please consider and pray about the following as you cast your vote:
- Vote for those individuals you know to be willing and dedicated to serving. You may vote for as many individuals as you wish, but not to exceed 15 names. Please do not feel that you must vote for 15 individuals. However, be prayerful in your selections to include those who you know to have a servant’s heart.
- If you know of other individuals who may be eligible according to the Johns Creek Baptist Church bylaws, you may submit their name via a write-in vote on your ballot.
- Each person in your home who is a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church may submit a ballot, using the on-line ballot as well.
- Voting will end at 5pm on Friday, October 7th.
