This Spring, Johns Creek Baptist Church will be joining the effort with Together for Hope, CBF Georgia, and Fuller Center for Housing to build a house in Fitzgerald for a family in need. We will be contributing financially and volunteering to help build! Individuals & groups are invited to build affordable housing with us in Ben Hill County – one of GA’s counties of persistent rural poverty.

Volunteer!

Whether you are an individual or group, we have a place for you!
Each build week, work begins on Monday morning and concludes the following Saturday. Feel free to get creative and bring 3 people for the first three days and another set of 3 for the remaining 3 days; we invite this type of flexibility! Worksite hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM daily on Monday through Saturday. Come join us!

Be a “Square Footer”

The cost of a new home build in Fitzgerald, GA is $125,000 for a 1200 sq. ft. home. That is roughly $100/square foot! If you, your community group, your small group, your extended family, your business, etc. would be willing to commit to one or more square feet, together we will raise enough money to build a new affordable home!
