Prayer Request from Leigh Anne Shields – It is with a heavy heart to inform you that Mary Scott’s husband, Bob, passed away last night, Nov 18 around 8:30pm. She had taken him to the hospital that morning because he was feeling weak. They told her he was in A-fib and low blood pressure and an infection in his stomach. Later in the day they were considered and took him to the ICU. They said he was chatty up until he got very quiet and his heart stopped. There will be no service at this time due to COVID. Mary’s Step-Daughter and her husband are with Mary helping her navigate the next several days. Please pray for Mary and Bob’s families for peace and strength to get thru the next couple of weeks. Prayer Request from Shaun King – It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Beth Benton. After a long and hard fought battle with cancer, she went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, with her loving husband, BJ, by her side. Currently, a Memorial Service is being planned for this Friday, November 20th, at 1:00 pm. A reception will immediately follow, with all appropriate safety protocols in place. Please be in prayer for BJ and the entire Benton family, as they grieve the loss of Beth, and yet celebrate the joy of knowing her faith has been made sight. Prayer Request from John Link – Victor Harrelson’s mother, Anna Harrelson age 83, passed away yesterday. The funeral is tomorrow at 2 pm at the Summersett Funeral Home in Salisbury, NC. Victor and Cheryl were long time members at JCBC until his recent retirement when they relocated to NC to care for his mother. Prayer Request from Linda Clagg – Please pray for Reggie Pugh. He recently received a new kidney and even came home with it working fine. However, after two weeks he came down with Covid-19 and returned to Emory Hospital (main campus) Monday and is currently in the ICU and on a ventilator. Pray for his recovery and full healing.

Prayer Request from Debbie Iwasaki – Please continue your prayers for Keith Ford who is recovering from Monday’s second eye surgery. The eye lens is perfectly is place but there is blood behind the lens. Keith has had several post op follow up visits but showed no improvement. Please pray that the blood behind the eye lens dissipates and is absorbed into the body. The healing process may take weeks. Prayer Request by Don BrownDon and Jackie Brown are requesting prayers for Don’s sister, Nancy Balcerzak who was recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Nancy has relocated from Illinois and has moved to her son’s home in Florida and is undergoing chemotherapy and responding with good results. Prayer Request from Sue Harrington – Please ask everyone to keep Jimmy and I in your prayers. We were exposed to COVID a couple of weeks ago and have been self-quarantining. Our time is up today, but yesterday Jimmy was having trouble breathing and his oxygen level dropped. I took him to the ER at EJCH late morning and they admitted him around 5:00 pm. He is being treated for COVID and will be there at least 5 days while on the Remdesivir. As you know I can’t be there with him so it is very hard on both of us.
