Prayer Request, Rhonda Byrd, Monday, April 22: Rebecca Crowfoot is asking for prayer. Rebecca has been feeling under the weather with dizziness, nausea, and high blood pressure since Friday. She finally went to the hospital on Sunday evening. They are running many tests to rule out major problems. Right now, she needs a lot of rest while the doctors complete running their tests. Rebecca is asking for your prayers as she continues to get the rest that she needs.

Prayer Request, Scotta Couch, Monday April 22: Scotta informed us that her Dad, William (Mac) McDonald, went to be with Jesus this past Sunday (4/21) morning. He was in and out of the hospital over the past 3 months and ultimately in hospice this past month. Scotta has requested that we please pray for her family and herself as they grieve the loss of his presence. Scott and her family are thankful that they are not without hope though, that they will see him again one day.

Pat Vinson had his hip replaced at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. He will be going home tomorrow. He is doing well and Janice is making sure that he is following the doctor’s orders. He is in good spirits and is grateful for your prayers.

Prayer Request, Rhonda Byrd, Tuesday, April 16:
R.G. Crump is in Emory Johns Creek Hospital. He is having some difficult with irregular heartbeats. He has afib, and is scheduled to have a pacemaker put in and a valve fixed on April 25th. For now, he is well and is asking for your prayers. He will probably be out of the hospital tomorrow or the next day depending on his observation. Please keep R.G. in your prayers.

Our Member in the Spotlight this week is Sylvia Head.
Sylvia joined our church in 1961 and has been a member over  63 years.  Sylvia has been a member of the Head/White (Progressive) Sunday School class and transferred into the Brown Durham class when those classes merged.

Prayer Request, Rhonda Byrd, April 5, 2024:
From Al and Shirley Work regarding their great grandson, Eli: Molly (Shirley’s granddaughter) was 26 weeks pregnant when he was born 1lb 1oz 11” long.  Eli spent 5 1/2 months in the NICU Wellstar West Cobb and 6 months CHOA Egleston ICU.  He’s currently intubated and has an arterial line placement.  A feeding tube since birth.  God has blessed Eli with several miracles already and we have faith God will grant another miracle of healing. Please be in prayer for baby Eli and the entire family.

Prayer Request, Shaun King, 3/26/2024
The prayers of the church are requested for Jeff and Carey Waldrop. Earlier today, Jeff’s father, Leo Waldrop died in Birmingham, Alabama. Many of you had already been praying g for the Waldrops over the past year as Carey fought breast cancer and just last week began recovery from knee surgery after serious injury. Jeff will be working to relocate his mother, Margaret, in the wake of his father’s death. Please pray for God’s all-sufficient Grace during these difficult days, and for the power that is made perfect in weakness.

Prayer Request, Bette Baker-Simmons, 3/21/2024
My younger sister, Bonnie, 76, has been diagnosed with hormone recepter-positive breast cancer. The treatment for this is not pretty. Many side effects to the medication and the time for treatment is 5-10 years. Prayer for strength and courage as she adjusts to this change. Thank you!

Prayer Request, David White, 3/26/2024
It is with mixed emotions – sadness, joyfulness, gratitude – that we report the passing of Mary Martin. Mary was a long-time fixture at JCBC and had just celebrated her 105th birthday. She is remembered as kind, faithful, and fun to be around! A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday April 27th in the Sanctuary of Johns Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Please remember Mary’s son Steve and their family during the days of celebration and loss. In lieu of flowers, Mary asked that memorial donations be made to Johns Creek Baptist Church.
