Prayer Request from Susan Kelley – Please pray for my cousin Jarred Hayes’s 4 month old baby James. He has been diagnosed with Microcephaly which is a condition where a baby’s head is much smaller than expected. There is no cure and there will be many challenges to come. But Jarred and his wife Rebecca have already seen the power of prayer with the baby’s head having grown 2 centimeters in the last 2 months. Please pray for James to live a happy, productive and healthy life and for Gods healing blessings on this sweet baby. Jarred and Rebecca Hayes: 403 Weatherby Drive, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27530.

Prayer Request from Sue Harrington – As most of you know, the results of the tests searching for a cause of the fluid in Jimmy’s lung revealed B cell, marginal zone lymphoma. This is a non-aggressive cancer that is treatable with a medicine rather than chemo. We have been waiting on the results of a PET scan to see where the cancer is in his body, and if there was any other type cancer involved. We found out today that the lymphoma is the only cancer involved. This is good news! He will have 1 treatment every week for 4 weeks beginning Monday. He will do this every 6 months for 2 years with scans all along to make sure it is working. We are grateful for all of your prayers, and feel we have been given God’s grace in all of this. We have a great oncologist, and feel confident in his diagnosis and treatment plan. We ask for your continued prayers for successful treatments and that this will take care of the fluid causing his breathing difficulties. We know we are in God’s hands, and that is a great place to be. Jim and Sue Harrington: 7431 Portbury Park Lane, Suwanee, Georgia 30024; jandsh@yahoo.com.

Prayer Requests

Prayer Request from Sue Harrington – As you know Jimmy has been having breathing difficulties for awhile now coming from a build-up of fluid in his lungs. They drained the lung 4 times in less than a month and tested the fluid for a cause each time. None was found. We spent 6 days at Northside Hospital where they did exploratory surgery and a procedure to hopefully correct the problem. Unfortunately, the tissue samples taken during the surgery revealed cancer. It is a B-cell lymphoma and that is all we know right now. We will meet with an oncologist as soon as possible to learn more about his particular cancer and treatments. We appreciate all of the prayers and cards from our class and ask that you continue to lift us up in your prayers. We know we are in God’s hands as we move forward. Thank you, Sue

Prayer Request from Brenda TurpinHarry Galloway had surgery on an abdominal aortic aneurysm in October. The wound did not heal. They admitted him to Piedmont on Friday, December 20 where he had surgery on the wound area. Hopefully he will be able to go home Monday. He has a wound vac attached. Harry Galloway: 2252 Lawson Way, Chamblee, Georgia 30341.

Prayer Request from Brenda TurpinDarlene Barnwell is asking for prayers for her dad, Pat Vinson who fell at home last night and has been admitted to the hospital with a broken femur up to his hip bone. Of course, we are all rallied around mom and dad as this will be a long time to recover. They have scheduled a cat scan to review the break to get a better idea on how to fix it. It’s not a clean break, more splintered – so the doctor is guessing about 6 weeks of PT. Surgery should be tomorrow. He’s at the old Joan Glancy hospital which is now a Gwinnett Medical Facility: address is: 3620 Howell Ferry Rd, Duluth, GA 30096. However, after the CT scan (which is supposed to happen today) they may move him to the larger hospital in Lawrenceville for surgery. Pat Vinson: 141 Royal Dornoch Drive Duluth, GA 30097
