Prayer Request from B.J. Benton (10/17) – Please be in prayer for Sylvia Head. She has developed several health problems in the past couple weeks. She is having difficulty breathing and her last blood labs indicated that she is anemic and her kidney function has diminished. She is not able to drive right now and will be going to several doctor appointments this week for more tests. One of her daughters will be driving her to those appointments.

Prayer Request from Roger Simpson (10/12) – Judy Simpson will undergo colon surgery on Friday, October 15th at Emory Johns Creek Hospital to remove a part of her sigmoid colon. There is a tumor that has been diagnosed as a primary stage one cancer. It is not related to the pancreatic cancer she had surgery for in 2019. So, this prayer request is for thankfulness for this being a stage one cancer and not stage four pancreatic cancer. Also, please pray for a successful procedure to remove all of the cancer. Prayer Request from Marsha Hunter (9/18) – Robbie hunter passed away September 16th after a fight with Covid. Please pray for his family for comfort and peace. Here is his obituary with information about his celebration service: David Robert “Robbie” Hunter, Jr., 51, passed away September 16, 2021, from complications of Covid. He is survived by his wife Allison Breadwell Hunter, his son Levi Robert Hunter, his father David Robert Hunter and his wife Beverly Hunter, his mother Marsha Trentham Hunter, and his brother Christopher Richard Hunter.

Robbie was a graduate of Brookwood High School in 1988 where he played football and a graduate of Kennesaw State University with a degree in Mathematics. In his career, he worked for ProGolf Discount as an assistant manager, was a construction lender for several Atlanta area banks, and an owner of his own sporting goods company. His current employer was Shuma Sports where he sold athletic uniforms and gear to local high schools and recreational leagues. They attended Gwinnett Church where he and Allison taught children small groups. Robbie was also very active in support of Levi’s playing baseball and spent hours coaching Levi’s pitching and hitting.

A celebration service of Robbie’s life is scheduled for September 25th, 11:00 AM at North Metro Baptist Church, 1026 Old Peachtree Rd NE, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. The family is asking service attendees to wear a football jersey from University of Georgia, Brookwood High School or any school to which Robbie sold sporting gear.

Prayer Request from David White (9/16) – Sadly, Marsha Hunter’s son – Robbie – passed away this afternoon due to complications from COVID 19. Please pray for Marsha, Robbie’s wife Allison and their son Levi as well as the rest of their family.
