It is with a mixture and sadness and relief that we report the passing of John Jack, brother to JCBC Member Tom Jack. John’s passing marks the end of a long and difficult year of transition and loss for the Jack family. In January, Tom’s sister-in-law Jane Jack died, followed by his middle brother Howard, on September 30th. Then, this past Sunday, December 29th, his younger brother, John, also went to be with the Lord. The better part of the year has been spent with frequent trips for Tom (and sometimes Elizabeth) back and forth to Knoxville, Tennessee, to care for his family during this long and difficult season. Tom and Elizabeth are grateful for the prayers of the church that have been felt and request they continue in the coming weeks as final arrangements are made and a service is planned for March 1st in Knoxville. Cards and letters may be sent to Tom and Elizabeth Jack, 640 Turbridge Court, Alpharetta, GA 30022.
