3 Reasons I’m Attending the State of the Church Address

In the spirit of full transparency, attendance at Wednesday night’s State of the Church Address is not optional for me.   My job requires me to be there. If the requirement were removed, I would still make it a point to attend. Here’s why.

  1. I am excited that we are establishing a pattern of open and honest dialogue. We are all determined to do the best and most we can to be the presence of Christ in this community and beyond. We are all in this together – connected to one another. It is good and right and fitting and exciting that we come together periodically to consider just how we’re doing so as to help inform what might come next.
  2. I wholeheartedly believe that the life Jesus promised ME is possible. I believe, deeply, that this life of abundance…joy…fulfillment…purpose…transformation is Christ’s intent for ME and I am excited to hear how Johns Creek Baptist Church is working together to make those things a reality in MY life.
  3. I wholeheartedly believe that the life Jesus promised YOU is possible.   I believe, deeply, that this life of abundance…joy…fulfillment…purpose…transformation is Christ’s intent for YOU and I am excited to assess how we, as a church, are doing at creating and preserving the kind of environment that helps make this life a reality for YOU.
