Each summer we have the unique opportunity to minister to the children in our church and community through Vacation Bible School. This year, on June 4 – 7, hundreds of children will come through the doors of our church, hungry to learn about Jesus. For many children, this may be the first time they have heard of the love of God. For some, it will change their course forever and prompt the most important decision of their lives of asking Christ into their hearts. We are shaping the future of our next generation through VBS. What an awesome responsibility we have!
Did you know it takes nearly 200 volunteers to make Vacation Bible School a success? Please prayerfully consider coming alongside of us and serving in one of the most unique events in the life of our church. There are many areas to serve with varying levels of responsibility and commitment. Please visit www.jcbc.org/vbs to see role descriptions and current openings.
In addition to volunteers, there is another crucial piece of VBS – the children! This year, our children will experience costumed storytelling, superhero themed snacks, hands-on missions activities and crafts, dynamic music and Biblical skits, as well as fun recreation time. Our VBS team has planned, prepared, and prayed since January, and it is our prayer that our church family will now help us “pack the house” for VBS. We hope that there will be more children present than we could ever have predicted in our planning, and that we will be blown away by the number of smiling faces on our campus – learning, laughing, loving, and worshipping God together.
Would you invite someone to sign up today– a neighbor, a teammate, a friend, a grandchild? Registration information is available at www.jcbc.org/vbs. VBS is a truly churchwide effort, and we are calling on you to help us spread His love and be a HERO today!
