It is with gladness in my heart that I bring good news.
After many months of searching, and countless hours of discernment over breakfasts, lunches, and mid-morning coffee interviews, we are now ready to present a candidate to serve as JCBC’s first contemporary worship leader.
As I have shared in a previous blog, our goal has been to seek out the person God has prepared to join us in this exciting new adventure for our church.
Over the course of these many months, we have met with numerous individuals whose musical gifts and abilities are remarkable. Truly remarkable.
Yet, our deeper desire and loftier goal has always been to find someone who not only has the musical “chops” to lead this service with a degree of excellence, but who (more importantly) has the capacity to understand our vision and live into the beautiful story God is writing in us here at JCBC.
We believe we have found that person.
That is why tonight, Wednesday, May 24th at 5:45 p.m. (at our regularly scheduled Church Conference) we will present information about this person and entertain a joint-recommendation of call, coming from our Contemporary Worship Focus Group, our Pastor’s Council, our Deacon body, and our Stewardship Committee.
