Today marks the launch of an exciting and enriching season in the life of our church.
Tonight, we begin the Worship Dialogues!
This evening (Wednesday, January 6th), the Worship Study Group will host a preview session to the Worship Dialogues. We will gather at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary for a brief presentation designed to prepare members for our upcoming Dialogues.
[Parents of children, please note: We will offer childcare and children’s programming through the duration of the Introductory Session. Your children will need to be checked into Children’s Choir. At the conclusion of the session, you will need to pick your children up in the Thrive worship area.]
All members are encouraged to be a part of this important presentation.
We will update the membership on the study that has taken place thus far, and offer valuable information that will equip each participant to engage the Worship Dialogue experience to the fullest.
Those who are unable to attend tonight’s preview session will be encouraged to know that the presentation is being streamed live on jcbc.org. We will also email a link to the video tomorrow (Thursday, January 7th), so that all participants will have ample opportunity to review it prior to attending the Worship Dialogues.
If you have not taken the opportunity to sign up for one of our 5 sessions, you may do so now by following this link.
Parents of youth, please note: We want to hear from our youth! For their voices to be heard, they must be present. So, please help them register today.
This is what healthy churches do.
We engage in dialogue about the things that matter most.
Our Worship Dialogues offer the opportunity to gather with sisters and brothers in Christ, in order to learn from one another and marvel at the many ways our Lord connects with us and transforms us through the mystery of Christian worship.
I hope to see you and your family there.

First a story –
A priest in a country parish asked his flock to raise money for a chandelier. One of the parishioners arose to say, “Yer Riverince, I am opposed, for three reasons. First, there’s nobody within tin miles can spell chandelier. Second, there’s nobody within tin miles could play one. And third, what we really need is more light.
My comment related to the worship dialogue – The worship service would be enhanced by a higher ambient temperature in the sanctuary.
