JCBC Welcomes Dr. Gregory Deloach
Walk this Way: Following Jesus Beyond the Mountain
Beginning Sunday, May 21st!
with Pulpit Guest, Dr. Gregory Deloach
Dean, Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology
We are excited to welcome Dr. Greg DeLoach to Johns Creek Baptist Church for a special season of worship. During the summer, Dr. DeLoach will lead us through a sermon series focused on Jesus’s teachings found in the Sermon on the Mount. This sermon series promises to better equip each of us to be followers of Jesus and a witness for Christ in the world.
Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give
glory to your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NRSV)
Baseball philosopher Yogi Bearer once quipped, “When there is a fork in the road, take it.” Yet every day and every moment we are confronted with choices where we must decide which way to go and who to follow. Two thousand years ago Jesus climbed up a mountain and spoke words inviting all who would listen to walk this way. Every journey requires directions, a guide, and signposts. Through this eleven-part series we explore again this holy summons to walk this way, following Jesus up the mountain and beyond.
