More than 20 years ago, Dr. and Mrs. Bill Self launched the Golden Club with a beautiful intention. Rather than drawing attention solely to themselves on their 50th Anniversary, their desire was to share this meaningful milestone with others and to offer inspiration to younger couples following in their footsteps.
It’s in that same spirit that we are reimagining and relaunching the Golden Club in 2025 AND introducing a brand-new milestone group – The Silver Club – to honor couples celebrating at least 25 years of marriage.
In fact – ALL married couples who attend JCBC and their guests are invited to attend Life Together: A Celebration of Marriage on Saturday August 16th at 6:00 PM in the Family Life Center.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
- A gourmet dinner prepared by 585 SOUTH Café and Grill, prepared and served by Laura King’s talented culinary students and advisors from South Forsyth High School
- A live DJ spinning your time-tested, favorite tunes throughout the evening
- Headlining entertainment from Jonnie W, a nationally renowned comedian known for his clean, side-splitting humor
- Special induction of new Golden Club members and the induction of the inaugural class of The Silver Club.

* All other attendees, the cost if $100.00 per couple or $50.00 for one spouse.

This year, in addition to The Golden Club celebrating couples who have been married for 50+ years, we are adding The Silver Club for couples married 25+ years. If you have been married for 25+ years and have not filled out a marriage questionnaire before, please share some of your story with us!
