Do you remember attending Vacation Bible School as a child? What stands out most in your mind – learning scripture? Singing hymns? Reciting the pledge of allegiance? Maybe the sugary sweet lemonade and cookies? Times certainly have changed in the VBS world. This year, our children will experience costumed storytelling, themed snacks, hands-on missions activities and crafts, and original Biblical skits. However, the message is still the same – God is Love.
For months, we have planned, prepared, and prayed for this year’s VBS. Now the time has come, and we are ready. There is only one crucial piece missing: the children.
It is our prayer that you, our church family, will help us “pack the house” for VBS – that there will be more children than we could ever have predicted in all of our planning, and that we will be blown away by the number of faces who come through our doors, eager to hear about Jesus. Would you invite someone to sign up today– a neighbor, a teammate, a friend, a grandchild? Online registration closes on Sunday, May 17 at midnight! All information is available at www.jcbc.org/vbs. VBS is a churchwide effort, and we are calling on you to help us spread His love!
