Years ago, the popular TV sitcom “Cheers” had a theme song that included the words “you want to be where everybody knows your name.” We all want to belong. We all want to feel part of a family, whether a family of origin or a family of friends. In the Sanctuary Choir our theme is “More than Music…We are Family.”
We are a family who cares for each other, a family who laughs together, a family who works together, a family who sings great songs of praise to our Lord. One of our chief purposes is to lead our church family in worship each week. We take that responsibility very seriously…and we have a great time doing it!
If you enjoy singing and love giving praise to our wonderful Lord, you need to consider being part of our Choir Family. Now is a perfect opportunity for you to try us out!
On Wednesday, March 4, we are having an Open House. What does that mean? It means that everyone is welcome! It means we’ll have lots to eat…we’ll have good fellowship…lots of fun…and, certainly…we’ll sing!
We’re calling this “A Red Carpet Event.” In the spirit of the recent Academy Awards, we’ll have a red carpet to walk down, (no you don’t have to dress in formal attire! J ), we’ll take pictures, and give out awards for the “Best…” …well, you’ll have to come to find out!
It will be an evening of great, relaxed fun. Come see what the Sanctuary Choir Family is all about. The official start time is 7:00, but we’ll come early for food and fellowship. We’ll be finished promptly at 8:30.
Hey…even if you’re involved with Financial Peace University, The “Doing Life” Seminars, the Women’s Bible Study, or Bible Study with Michael McCullar (and if you are: good for you!!)…come on afterwards! You can join the party already in progress. Other choir members are in FPU along with you and have been coming into choir when FPU is finished.
As an extra bonus, join us now and you can sing back up for Sandi Patty on April 19! Consider this your personal invitation. I hope to see you then!
